The Master in Export Management and International Trade is a program crafted by two renowned institutions, Marconi University and the Institute of Export & International Trade, in collaboration with international trade experts.

In today’s globalized and complex market, this Master is designed to address industry needs by equipping future international trade managers with the skills to facilitate and optimize cross-border business transactions and ensure seamless movement of goods and services.

To excel in this field, professionals must develop a comprehensive set of skills, including:

  • Conducting market research to identify potential markets, analyze trends, and overcome export-related challenges.
  • Managing logistics and supply chains for efficient, cost-effective transportation, including expertise in shipping, freight forwarding, and customs clearance processes.
  • Planning and executing projects to ensure the success of export operations.
  • Understanding financial aspects of international trade, including pricing strategies, currency exchange, payment terms, and risk mitigation techniques.
  • Gaining a solid grasp of international trade regulations.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients, distributors, buyers, and partners through strong communication skills.
  • Adapting to diverse cultural, business, and regulatory environments.
  • Leveraging export management tools, new technologies, social media, and AI systems to enhance internationalization strategies.

Scholarships
UniMarconi and the Institute of Export & International Trade offer two scholarships covering 50% of the tuition fee for the first two enrolled students.

Pre-enrollment Fee

Early Bird Discount
A 20% reduction is available for students who pay the pre-enrollment fee by 31 March 2025.

Reserved Area
All course materials, including PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, and operational tools used during the lessons, will be made available in the reserved area. Students can access this area with their credentials. Any updates or additional documents will also be uploaded here through the UniMarconi platform.

Assessment
At the end of each module, students can complete online self-assessment tests to evaluate their progress and understanding of the material.

The Master is structured into six modules:

  3. International Logistics, Purchasing, Distribution, Transportation & Documentation
  4. International Trade Management & Marketing Strategy
  5. Legal, Finance & Risk Management
  6. Export Management in the Age of Digitalization: Finding Customs and Commercial Partners

Student Project Work

At the program’s conclusion, students will present their project work during a plenary session. The project, assigned by the Master’s Scientific Committee, requires independent work. Students may seek guidance from faculty via email and will have up to 5 hours (10% of the total project hours) for one-on-one meetings with instructors.

The project work typically spans 40 to 60 pages, with formatting guidelines provided later.

Assessment will be conducted by a commission of three professors or committee members, including the project supervisor. The final transcript will display grades in both the UK and Italian systems.

During the program, participants will engage in four company presentations featuring CEOs, export managers from medium-to-large international companies, and entrepreneurs sharing their internationalization journeys.

Final Assessment
The program concludes with a presentation of the project work to the Master’s Scientific Committee.
